Fayose Escapes Arrest

Former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, this morning escaped being arrested by policemen and officials of the State Security Service (SSS) at AIT premises in Alagbado.



Fayose had appeared on AIT to participate in a live programme when the security operatives laid ambush for him.

MEND Sympathizes With 27 Soldiers Jailed For Life

In a very rare and strange show of solidarity, the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND)has said it sympathises with the 27 soldiers of the 14th Nigerian Battalion who were sentenced to life imprisonment for protesting for their rights.

PHCN Workers Escape Death

It was a miracle on Monday at Aboru in Iyana Ipaja as two workers of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) were almost electrocuted while working on some high tension cables to restore electricity to the area.



Electricity had been cut off from the district office of PHCN before the men commenced work on the poles, but suddenly power was restored and immediately cut again. But the damage had been done and residents began to pray that the men do not die.…

Outbreak of swine flu causes Federal Government to issue a directive to the NIS: All passengers coming from the afected areas must be screened
