A MAN who hacked a 3-year-old boy to death with a meat cleaver in front of a crowd in Hong Kong had been declared mentally fit just weeks earlier.
The 39-year-old man surnamed Leung was released from a psychiatric unit in 2006 after being an inpatient for two years, reports the South China Morning Post.

PHIL Spector has been sentenced to 19 years to life in prison for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson, who was shot through the mouth in the music producer's home six years ago.
