1) Only a BILL was introduced on that day by Samson Positive ( PDP, Kogi)
calling for the scrapping of POST UTME. It is still a BILL and not yet
a LAW. House proceedings on the matter was later adjourned to the following
week.

2) For the Bill to scrap POST UTME to become a law, it would have to pass through the Senate and then the President has to
sign it into law, IN NIGERIA, THIS COULD TAKE FOREVER.

3) Nigerian Universities are AUTONOMOUS, and it is they and they alone who can determine the criteria for admitting students.

4) In 2008, it was said that "POST UME EXERCISE" would be scrapped, POST
UME EXERCISE still held across the country in 2008 and even in 2009. So
this is just another bluff.

While the topic on whether POST UTME should be scrapped or not is raging in the House of
Reps, I can assure you that UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS IS GOING TO CONDUCT
POST UTME SCREENING EXERCISE THIS YEAR, so you better be prepared. and
