The Government of Lagos state as we know now is not a weakling when it comes to enforcing the laws of the state on those who breaks it... according to the reports below, over 3,000 okada where destroyed beyong recognition.

The Lagos State Government has commenced the process of crushing 3, 000 motorcycles, popularly called okada, impounded from their owners for violating traffic law.

Officials of the state Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit on Tuesday dismantled the okadas at the task force yard in Alausa.
The Taskforce Chairman, Bayo Sulaiman, an Assistant Superintent of Police, said after the end of the dismantling exercise, the iron parts would be taken to the state Crushing Plant in Oshodi, where they would be crushed and recycled.
He said the action was to show that the government had stepped up its enforcement of the state traffic law, adding that the crushing of the okadas would serve as deterrent to other commercial motorcycle operators.
Sulaiman said, “These are okadas impounded since the new traffic law was signed into law. There are 3, 000 of them. Okada riders must obey our traffic law. They are fond of driving against traffic, on kerbs and several unauthorised places. The law has been passed and gazetted and there is no going back on its enforcement.... Dailynews

hmm, this is still barbaric, i think is better for the law to protect both the rich and the poor, been against the law for the rich does not mean the car will be crush, i know Lagos is not really democracy is just a bunch of leaders thinking what is right for the populace, real democracy should protect the rich and the poor, been against government at a time does not mean you did not support the government, i know most of us hate Okada, but this people have put there mean of survival to the Okada they purchase now the government is encouraging armed robbers on the rise and as well should look critically before burning the Okada, is unfair, I'm not in Nigeria right now but i share the pain of my people

If only the law enforcement agencts will not open another business of selling some of the confiscated motorcycles and vans. This movement would be the best way to tackle the lawlessness of Nigeria and Nigerians. I hope that when Fashola goes away, that another moroon will not take his place to damage all the good works comenced already. We need mordern schools with mordern teachers where people will be taught behavor and self estime and that will help our future law enforcement agancy not to be intimidated or influenced by any idiot.
