Recently the office of the Inspector General of Police has call upon some Families of Police Officer and Men who died in the course of their duties for verification and some other procedures toward payment of their entitlements. Well, it was a good one but, sucking enough Widows and widowers from various place were in Abuja for more than Seven days during the so call verification but yet nothing has come out of it till today.

A source from the IGP office claim that cheque was released to the various Pension Fund Administrators, to facilitate the payment to the beneficiaries but as I am writing this, the Widows are still languishing in abject poverty as some of them could neither afford food to eat nor clothe to wear.

I am by this medium pleading that if the so called cheque was truly released to the PFAs the IGP should please direct immediate payment of the fund to the beneficiaries. “ we should always remember that this world is a permanent place for any of us also the Officers and Men of the Force were serving this Country before they died  just as u and I will surely one leave this world”.
