Don't go there, still these guys will fearlessly run towards death.
At least 90 people including women and children were burnt to death early today Thursday July 12th while scooping fuel from a fallen tanker at Okobe in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State. The fuel tanker crashed into some vehicles and fell, spilling its content but didn't immediately burst into flames. Unfortunately it exploded when residents of the area went to the scene to scoop fuel from the tanker.
Rivers State police spokesman Ben Ugwuegbulam explained:
Early this morning a tanker loaded with petrol fell in Okogbe and people trooped to the scene obviously to scoop the spilled fuel and suddenly there was fire resulting in casualties
A team of police officers, soldiers and emergency workers were dispatched to the scene, where burnt bodies were removed.

This is terrible. when would Nigerians learn? I am sure this has nothing to do with education nor poverty. It is absolutely act of indiscipline and love for free lunch. Nigerians like cheating one another the resultant effect being untimely death. How can you see death trap and run towards it. Common sense should have ordinarily hinted the casualties that the content in there was highly inflammable and they should just stay away or run away from the vicinity. Though it is so painful that we lost these Nigerians, men, women and children, we still want to appeal to the local authorities, the state governments, the traditional rulers of the states involved inclusive of Federal Government to carry out an extensive awareness/sensitization progrmme on the danger it portends when there is any oil spillage anywhere or by any means. Pls stay away it could lead to untimely death.

Such a terrible wast of life, are they that uneducated to know this is highly flammable and someone stupid enough to be smoking near by is just enough Ignition source to Ignite the whole area, When will they ever learn to stay clear of Accident sites such as this one.
