This is a very sad news, can you believe this, the woman committed suicide by jumping into the lagoon, taking her own life just like that, so so sad, may her soul rest in peace.
A woman, Mrs. Sekinat Akewusola, on Thursday jumped into Osun River.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the woman jumped into the river from the bridge located at Oke-Gada, Ede, minutes after giving money to some beggars.
Some of the beggars said they saw the woman when she jumped into the river.
Head, Disaster Management Unit, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Mr. Olaniyi Babalola, confirmed the development.
He told our correspondent that the slippers and a veil worn by the deceased described as a devout Muslim were recovered from the bridge, adding that the search for her corpse was still in progress.
Babalola said, “Her husband said that there was no crisis in the family. He said her wife was taking their first child to school when the incident happened. We gathered that she prayed on the bridge before jumping into the river.” ...Source
It was gathered that some passersby and beggars stopped the husband from jumping into the river when he visited the scene.

The head of Mrs Akewusola was full with the pressure and heat of the world which over powered her. The cause of her death are the living, but she is no longer there to tell the long story. Woe to those who must have directly or indirectly caused her death. May God forgive her.
